The Terminator (1984) iTunes: Is it the remaster?

I was considering getting the original Terminator one ituns in HD, but I was wondering if the version on there is the most recent remaster like the last Blu Ray Release? Anyone have any idea? Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere/please link.

Not sure about Itunes, but I do know that on Vudu (last I checked when they had the 2 min previews) T1 still uses the old master that was on the 2006 Blu and the DVDs. If it was made available on Itunes before 2014, chances are it uses that same master unless they upgraded it to a newer version with extras.

One quick way to tell between the old DVD/BD master and the 2013 remaster is the MGM lion at the start before the Orion card. If the MGM zooms out with CGI effects, then its the recent remastered version. If the MGM card is mostly static and looks film like/grainy, then its the old DVD/BD master.

It might be the remaster as well, but be sure do the same MGM lion check as with The Terminator.

T2 is there, yes. There’s separate listings for theatrical and special edition.

It isn't on the store here at all.

I'm certain it used to be but no idea when it taken down.

iTunes cover art is from remastered version but is an older master with a little bit different color timing and framing from '07 Blu-Ray. Also there's an info about R-rating but it's an unrated director's cut...
