Screen darkening at the top - Blu-ray Forum

I have a Vizio D32x-D1 and the picture has become noticeably darker at the upper section of the screen. How can I fix this? Is my TV dying?

It's probably the backlight. And no, that usually can't be fixed. Or at least it's not worth the expense vs getting a new TV.
