Buy it. It's a great film and the Blu-Ray is top notch.

Great PQ/AQ and tons of extras.

I would say a definite buy. PQ and AQ are excellent for such an old film. I was quite surprised with the AQ for a film made in 1951.

I just watched it on blu!

Great movie... I can see why it's in the top 250 of IMDB

Funny to see Doctors smoke and kids left with total strangers for a day lol How things have changed since 1951!!!

PQ was ok at best overall... lots of soft scenes but the AQ was great!!!

Thumbs up!

Hehe. The part about having to take a shower to remove the stink had me rollin'! I doubt I'll waste the money on the re-make, but the original I might just spring for on BD.

The original is a classic. I knew the remake would be bad but I went and saw it anyway. The story is ok and the special effects were ok. This means the remake is forgettable

She might actually .. the sci-fi stuff is pretty minimal really .. it's a much more personal movie with a great performance by Michael Rennie.

I didn't think so. Thought it was pretty craptastic.

As for the original. I watched this for the first time about a week ago and I have to say this is one my favorite movies of all time. I will definitely be picking this up on blu.

Just got done watching the original. I thought it was going to be terrible. However, it was the opposite. A very great movie. Not at all cheesy like I expected. Well done for the time.
