Thought I'd create a thread as my copy just dispatched from Amazon for Monday delivery via Prime (Royal Mail not a courier - so, sadly, it won't arrive early). I picked it up at 9.99, and have noticed it's risen to 12.99.

Anyhow, I am really looking forward to seeing it

It's a decent movie, I rented it back in September. Unfortunately it's not too memorable. Although
[Show spoiler] the opening is perhaps my favourite opening of any movie released this year!

I have this one on the way. I hope it doesn’t share an encode with the Well Go release, because they’re usually pretty bad.

Mine arrived today. Ever since I complained on here that amazon had stopped Sunday prime deliveries I've had one every week! If you're listening amazon, keep it up

Could you please tell me- are there any extras on this release from Arrow? I'm trying to decide whether to get this version or the Well Go version. Thanks.

off topic but I had the complete opposite of my experience the last 2 weeks.
last week they shipped the thing on a Saturday and it ended up in wrong depot and then waited til Wednesday but no delivery. This week 2 pre orders AGAIN said wrong depot and no delivery today. They wont admit there is something wrong and just say they will escalate.

Ref Extra's - You get a trailer & feature length commentary and that's it.

Thank you very much event orbital.

Neither of these things are included on the Well Go release, which (as per the back cover image) only includes one feature; a "making of". But typically from this company these are only 2-8 minutes long.

Well Amazon had mine out for delivery all day and it failed to turn up.
This is why Amazon Logistics stopped delivering pre-orders to me on a Sunday. They only restarted last week with The Thing. Their drivers just have too much work and can’t deliver a full round even though they have them working until 22:00
So let’s see if it arrives tomorrow.

Mine hasn't arrived yet - just wondering if it's slipcased?

Odd. Mind, Catfight didn't have a slip but Headshot did. I dunno, I hoped this would have one

It doesn't come with one. It's not a foreign concept.

It did seem that some of the films Arrow were releasing and had also been involved in the theatrical runs of over here might get the slipcase treatment (i.e. Aquarius, Clash) but I guess they're being more selective about which ones do. I wondered if maybe it was something they were just reserving for the Academy line, but then weren't they involved in Zoology's theatrical run too? Or am I wrong there?

But it is a foreign film, LOL.

Yup - sometimes Amazon send stuff without a slip and other e-retailers (and physical stores) have slips...

No worries - at least we don't have to stress about our printed cardboard obsession with this title... unless someone knows different!!!

Could it be for titles they particularly favour? Clash got overwhelmingly positive reviews at festivals and Aquarius was from a praised director (and also had strong reviews).

Responses to The Villainess and Zoology have been more varied - same as Catfight, The Ghoul, We Are the Flesh - though I am slightly surprised about The Villainess, which has had more positive than negative, but maybe it's different for Arrow Video over Arrow Academy.

Be interesting to see how they treat some of their other upcoming theatrical titles. I suspect Blade of the Immortal may get slightly special treatment as it's Miike (and looks absolutely nuts, even compared to The Villainess), but The Endless, Ismael's Ghosts, Dark River are arguably more subtle and unpredictable in terms of how they'll go down. It did at first look like Hounds of Love was getting a slipcover but they've since changed the packshot, and I doubt Lost in Paris will get one (as much as I'm looking forward to seeing it).
