Default Netfix ? for xbox

Do you have to have the xbox gold to use netflix? Or can you get a gold live for one month & download the appliccation for netflix & then not have to be a gold live member every month?? Hope I am describing this right. Cause this would mean I have to pay $5 a month for gold live plus the 8.99 to netflix each month? any help on this or does anyone have this for their 360 that can explain it to me???Thank you.

No you must have the gold full time to use it.

12 month gold is 46.89 on amazon.

I have it on my blu-ray player and the 360 and the 360 is way better in terms of easy to use... not to mention you can browse movies without adding them to the instant Q.

Thank you for letting me know you have to have gold live all the time, that is what I wanted to know. With a blu ray player with wifi...can you use netflix for a monthly fee only?

With a bd player/tv that has wifi/ internet connection, all you need is the Netflix service that has instant streaming and you link the account and tv/player/360 and poof you can watch anything.

PS3 comes with a netflix disk not sure if it needs to be in to use the service but thats 100% free, although I've never used it.

If you do decide to go with Xbox, make sure you purchase your year subscription (xbox live gold) now and maybe add another one (store it). Because the cost will go up in 2011, I believe it will be around 60 bucks instead of the current price.
