Ha! I bought this poster back in the 80s from Hollywood Video for 50 cents. It hung on my wall through most of my teens. I'd eventually actually SEE the film in my early 20s.

Yeah I did say, that I would buy every release as long as they are keeping the same cheap prices. Although I wish it was a more exciting release..

I'm looking forward to this. The production values are really good. The movie takes place in Houston and was entirely filmed in Houston, except for I believe one night club scene that was filmed in L.A. They used a real Houston high school that was in session during filming and the actual students are used as extras in the movie. One of the classrooms in the school was converted to be used as the bedroom for the main character. They also got permission to film in an actual working cemetery. Lots of great shots of late 80s Houston. It's really authentic. I appreciate movies like this, rather than the typical "Anywhere, U.S.A." type film. Or movies set in overused places like suburban Chicago, New Jersey, or L.A. I grew up in Houston and there's not a ton of movies set here or filmed here, so I always appreciate ones that are.

I don't watch a lot of vampire films, but this was a guilty pleasure for me in my teens. I grew up with it having regular rotation on HBO, and it has some truly great actors in it...especially Robert Sean Leonard, and the late Rene Auberjonois and David Warner. I wish they were still alive, to do a commentary for this.

Great news, I've always liked this one.

The cover artwork sure is far better than the old Lionsgate DVD.

I thought it might be the same artist who did the covers for Dream a Little Dream, and Earth Girls Ar Easy. His name is Matthew Therrie.
