Eyes Wide Shut has been DNR filtered more than most Warner releases, but thankfully it's pretty bad when it comes to Kubrick movies.

I have both 2001 and The Shining, and they are both excellent. The Shining looks great and you can see a lot more of the finer details than the DVD, and the color is also an improvement. 2001, however, is fantastic! I really don't think that it has a flaw in terms of the video presentation. Buy both with confidence!

The PQ on 2001 was amazing, yes. But what really pleased me was the SQ. I expected the movie to look as great as it did... but I didn't expect the sound to shake and move me like it did.

clockwork orange=i dont like pq
full metal jacket= ok pq
2001= still in wrapper
shining= sweet pq

I agree that 2001 is a reference disk, and The Shining has excellent PQ.

I haven't unwrapped Clockwork or Full Metal Jacket yet, saving them for a treat some day.
