I was thinking about buying cause I like Will Ferrel, is it a good movie?

I just bought this movie about an hour ago from Target!

$19.99.

I prolly coulda got it cheaper somewhere else but I absolutely LOVE this movie and decided to just get that (along with Troy $19.99).

It truly is a great Christmas movie imo and I would definitely recommend owning this movie. Blu or not, get it.

Elf has quickly become one of my holiday favorites. Will Ferrell and Zooey Deschanel are really great in it

I find it very funny. It has its parts. Overall a very good movie imo.

I enjoyed this movie. It was decent family entertainment.

I'll tell you what really blew me away about it though...Zooey Deschanel's singing voice on her duet witih Leon Redbone singing "Baby It's Cold Outside", which plays over the closing titles.

Yea, this is pretty good. One of Will Ferrel's best so if you're a fan you can't go wrong.

ELF would be a great stocking stuffer. But you don't wanna wait until Christmas day to see it. GREAT holiday movie.

Yeah I put Elf right up there with Christmas Vacation and Christmas with the Kranks as my favorite holiday comedies.

Elf is just another movie with Will Farrell in it and acts like an idiot. All of his movies are terrible.

I've only seen it once but I loved it. Not my favorite Christmas movie (that's The Santa Clause original) but very close.

I would say that Elf is a good Holiday movie and one Will's best movies. I have not cared for the last couple of movies he has put out(i have not seen Step brothers) but I do like this one and at $20 is worth the upgrade to blu.

EDIT: after reading the review from this site and a few others and recieving elf from blockbuster online I can say that I still love the movie but the blu-ray is not that great looking ill stick with my DVD

I am not a Will Ferrel fan, but I really enjoyed this movie. I picked up the blu-ray

Didn't care for it. Typically I enjoy Will Ferrell movies but this one tried way too hard to be wholesome.

What's ironic is that your statement is a blanket statement itself. Have you ever thought that maybe a statement that is considered a "blanket statment" by you may not be a "blanket statement" for someone else; maybe he's seen all of Farrell's movies and he thinks they are all terrible.
