Typically, when you see news like that, when would you expect a Western release?

I'd have to believe a marquee title like that would see a worldwide release at roughly the same time period...

Mmmm.. we had a thread previous about the X-men release X-men 3 11/14/06

Posts 1, 9, and 21 are the most significant. Maybe ProvenFlipper can give us an update of if it's still in the system.

Ok. I thought I had remembered seeing something like that.

Wow, imagine if that movie is out on the streets right in time for PS3 and the other hardware.

Not only is it still in the system, but my store has 10 copies on order. Ususally about two weeks before a release, we will order the titles. When a title is slated to come out on a certain day, and all of the titles are on order but a certain one, I can usually be sure that it's being delayed. For example, Layer Cake, which is supposed to be coming out on the 14th, is not on order, yet all of the other titles for the 14th are on order. This leads me to believe that Layer Cake is going to be delayed, as I speculated before and others have too.

Outstanding.

So I'm going to have Xmen 3 in glorious HD by the time I get my PS3 in here?

Awesome baby!

Hopefully, that's what appears to be happening. I will give an update when the titles are actually in my store. Also I will add 10 copies of one title is the most our store has ever ordered of one title. I'm thinking that BB is counting on attaching titles like this to the PS3. Gone in 60 seconds is also a title that we have a large amount of. Titles like these are going to appeal to the type of person that is coming in to purchase the PS3.

Love seeing that DTS-HD Master Audio logo.
It's sweeter than sweet! I hope Paramount and Warner follow suit in the coming months.

I can't wait for CES to see the new HDMI 1.3 recievers that are going to decode this wonderful cacophony that we refer to as DTS-MA. Hopefully there will be a reciever in the $1000 range that I can pick up to accomplish this task.

I wonder why I don't see it on preorder for places like amazon.com or bestbuy.com? If I see it I will snatch it up and wait for the 17th when my ps3 comes in.

Maybe Amazon only updates when there is an official announcement from the studio? I'm not sure... These should be in by early next week, as soon as they come in I'll snap a pic to post. I'm hoping that this is actually coming out.

Cool!!!

We've just learned that 20th Century Fox will officially announce today the Blu-ray Disc release of X-Men: The Last Stand on 11/14. The disc is timed to street just a few days before the 11/17 debut of Sony's BD-enabled PlayStation 3 game system. Watch for details later today.

Consider the doubters owned. From The Hollywood Reporter

Quote:
Seeking to ride PlayStation 3 momentum, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is rush-releasing "X-Men: The Last Stand" to Blu-ray Disc on Nov. 14, three days before Sony's next-generation video game console makes its U.S. debut.

Executives from studios supporting the high-definition optical disc format believe PS3 will be the Trojan horse that gives Blu-ray an unbeatable advantage over rival HD-DVD. Both formats are vying to succeed standard DVD as consumers transition to HDTV.

It is official! 6.1 DTS-ES HD Master Lossless Audio! That's gotta be about 18-22Mbps alone! The word overkill comes to mind!

Edit: He beat me to the post!
