Ozone (1994) - Restored Blu-ray from Tempe Digital

For those who might have missed, this week Tempe Digital released my weird little 1994 shot-on-video curiosity OZONE on Blu-ray. Completely restored from the original S-VHS-C camera masters (yes you read that correctly!), this is hands-down the best any $3500 drug mutant flick has ever looked. The SD master has not been upscaled in any way, which has allowed for higher-bitrate H.264 encoding and DTS-HD 5.1 surround.

The standard $24.99 Blu-ray (available everywhere discs are sold, including Amazon) comes with a ton of extras, but if you're a fan of the movie there's also a two-disc Signature Edition available exclusively from Makeflix, Diabolik, Grindhouse Video, and Strange Vice UK which adds a collectible slipcover, reversible artwork, eight-page booklet with liner notes, and bonus DVD with the original VHS version and additional extras.

I should note for the purists out there, this is an MOD release, but it's an extremely classy one with a lot of love and care put into it. If you dug our previous Ultimate Edition releases for THE DEAD NEXT DOOR and ROBOT NINJA, this is basically the equivalent of that for an SOV movie.
