Pre-ordered the 4k UHD. I am future proofing all my purchases now. Also seeing this on Saturday in Regal RPX and Scarlett Johansson really got me into films and collection so I have to have.

The 4K one, I got it to work, for some reason on mobile it was giving me an error.

Saw this last night. This is a solid piece of genre filmmaking with a more nuanced performance by Johansson that I think critics are giving her credit for. If it feels a little stale or "been there, done that", it's just because the genre has cribbed from the likes of the original anime and others for so long. But, I think it was worth seeing it.

It's going to be a stunning 4K/BD disc when it's released.

I realize it's an old film, but really it's no excuse to not add anything for a live action version.

The same with BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. If you're going to release it again in 2017, there should be something new to it than just 'live action'.

I'll be preordering the 4K steel.

Solid flick. I enjoyed it. I hope that artwork sticks. The Mondo-like art on the UK steel is blech.

This will probably be the version I pick up. Hopefully we get the final artwork soon. I'll be seeing this tomorrow morning and I am looking forward to it.

But Beauty and the Beast (2017) actually had quite a few differences compared to the original, mainly more backstory and new songs.

Exactly. And the fact that the romance was played out differently with much more coherence. I don't understand Greg's complaint.

like the artwork. And I like the zombie artwork better but at least I'll have a nice looking steel book for this movie.

Best Buy is on a roll with all of these steelbooks rolling out. I'm very happy that they continue to give us steelbooks, but my wallet is taking a big hit. I say the hell with it, it's only money.
