I used to be able to do this before reinstalling MPC about a year ago. Now all PCM 5.1 tracks play in 2.0. Doesn't matter if I set my receiver to Direct or Dolby Surround. I use bitstreaming, but it just doesn't work for PCM surround for some reason.
