United Kingdom Harry Potter - The Complete 4K Collection

8 Movie UK Collection Announced!!
6th November release date. £89.99 price tag.

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Harry...lu-ray/187657/

*POST HAS BEEN UPDATED TO REFLECT NEW INFORMATION REGARDING THE BOX SET*

The set features:
- All 8 Movies in 4K.
- Digital copies of all 8 Movies.

However, the set DOES NOT feature Blu-Ray copies of any of the movies or Extended Editions of Movies 1 and 2 in 4K.

Also, there is conflicting information about weather or not the "Creating The World" documentaries will be included. Every retail outlet says they will be, even through the product revisions, but they also all specify only 8 discs. So unless the eight parts are bundled onto the 4K discs (and the discs are re-authored versions of the US discs), I think we should take it with a grain of salt when it states that the documentary is included.

New Warners UHD discs usually start off at £24.99 so that's even better value, but then the pricing of boxsets has always been pretty darned favourable for the Brits, or so I've thought.

My Aussie imports [edit: thanks sammy ] have worked out nicely with that pricing though, the four released so far cost me £15-ish once GST was taken off so buying the other four at the same prices (once they're released and JB hifi have a sale, natch) will work out to roughly £120 in total for all eight. No boxset for me but meh, I'll live.

Put in a pre-order but waiting to see the final specs, hoping it includes the extended versions of the first few movies (even if it's Blu only) and the Creating series!

At under £15 a film that not bad price for a box set with all 8 films. Defiantly getting this. Was wondering how long it would take the UK to get this.

I must admit I was doubting they show up in the UK and was thinking of importing after the new year but this is even better.

Is there a screenshot comparison for the 4K transfers? Would be interested to see how they fair next to the BDs.

*crossing fingers very intensely for Extended Cuts of 1 & 2 in UHD*

I've gotten too used to them on Blu-ray now to go back to Theatricals. Not that I have any 4K/UHD capable equipment anyway

Well I guess that explains whether or not the UK would get the bonus blu-ray discs or not - turns out the answer is it won't get any regular blu-rays at all. That £117 price point suddenly looks a whole lot less desirable

If some people have got the existing Hogwarts collection then they don't need any more DVDs or BDs, they've got it all so an 8-disc UHD set isn't the worst idea. But I's got no Harry Potter stuff at all so I would like the BD movies and the bonus discs to be included.

Seems Warner are slowly removing the usual BD inclusion, soon I imagine the whole board will follow suit. It's a shame as I think it would sell better, you know for the future proofers out there.

The ultimate collector's edition still seems like the definitive package, it covers everything Harry Potter and the extras are very good, so no bonus discs is a deal breaker for me. I guess it's wait for Black Friday 2018.

I think it would sell better too - although at least the mention of the 8-part documentary in conjunction with the 8 discs seems to indicate that Warner UK will put the extras for these on the UHDs.

I don't mind too much if they remove the regular blu, as long as the UHD has all the extras and there's a corresponding drop in price (somewhere between £3-£5 or so would seem fair). But like Geoff, I don't have any HP, so would like all the extras thank you very much, Warner. If the UK is only getting the 8-part documentary as an extra, then I guess importing either the US or Australian releases will be necessary. Would be slightly rude too, for the home of Harry Potter to get the worst package out there...

Also, given Warner's recent box set releases (especially TV), I wouldn't be surprised to see these roll up in flimsy cardboard sleeves rather than proper keep cases

Depending on how the US prices go, I might still get thus version since I already have the Hogwarts Collection. I would just take the dvds out and put the 4k in.131$ isn't too bad shipped.
