Default Cancelled Too Soon

Tubi has a category of tv shows called "Cancelled Too Soon". I've been trying to watch some I have never seen or re-watch some I have.

Ones I ended up liking and had never watched:
Frequency
Believe
The Lying Game
Secret Circle
Twisted

Unfortunately with these shows, they usually end on cliffhangers.

Ones I'd like to watch/re-watch are:
Alcatraz
Fastlane
Dresden Files
Invasion
Surface
Ringer
with Sarah Michelle Gellar

Some I can't find anywhere are:
Journeyman
New Amsterdam (2008)
Drive
with Nathan Fillion and Emma Stone before she got famous.
Tarzan with Travis Fimmel.
North Shore (2004)
Hawaii (2004)

How about you guys? Any cancelled series you'd like to revisit?

Anyone remember the site iOffer? I used to buy a lot of "unavailable" shows off of there.

"Odyssey 5", great sci-fi from 2002 staring Peter Weller. They didn't renew it after one season even though it had great fan response. The IMDb rating is 7.5.

Terriers. I was able to watch it a 2nd time on Netflix a few years ago. It only lasted one season; fortunately, the main storyline of that season was wrapped up.

From network TV....

Only got half a season:
Awake
Brimstone
Eyes
L.A. to Vegas

Only got one season:
The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.
Forever
Limitless
Stumptown

Honorable mention:
Boomtown got a second season but they changed the format and then canceled it after a handful of episodes.

Terrific show. I’m still upset that it was canceled.

Happy! was a terrific show blending live-action and CGI animation, the best Syfy ever did...and then they cancelled it (
[Show spoiler]on a cliffhanger, surprise, surprise
)...and everyone forgot and kept watching Syfy like nothing ever happened.

It sickens me how everyone has forgotten this amazing, well-done, and surprisingly touching and emotional (which carries the chaos and precedes it) show just to focus on the like Resident Alien and Revival (I'm sorry, I concede that those shows are good, but they'll NEVER hold a candle to Happy!. NO SHOW after Syfy cancelled it will EVER will). You watch; they'll cancel those shows too after this season because SYFY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOU OR THE FANS; JUST MONEY AND RATINGS. They're scum.

To this day, I'm STILL fighting to save this show and I encourage anyone else here who loves this show to keep the fight going. WE CAN STILL WIN, THERE'S ALWAYS HOPE. Especially since Chris Meloni and Patton Oswalt (including recently) have expressed interest in doing more and Meloni's Law and Order series moving to Peacock AND Happy! leaving Netflix globally this year, this is the time to revive the campaign. It's a great show with plenty of potential and it deserves to be revived.

#SaveHappy

Also, my Honorable Mentions of other great shows that were cancelled way too soon (and also deserve to come back):

-Son of Zorn
-Stroker and Hoop
-Poppa's Place
-Jeff and Some Aliens
-Sifl and Olly
-Dogs In Space
-Clerks The Animated Series
-Tarantula
-The Goode Family
-Outer Space Astronauts
-Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM)
-Thunderbirds (1965)
-When Things Were Rotten

I am genuinely shocked to see someone mention Odyssey 5. I absolutely loved it when it first aired and I'm still mad about the cancellation. I remember reading that it was Showtime's highest rated drama but they cancelled it because they wanted to, "Move away from Sci Fi."

I'll add another to the list, Alien Nation. Absolutely incredible series.

There was a show pitched and sold as a mini series called The Lost Room in the early aughts. In reality they left some story ideas open hoping to get a full series pickup. Unfortunately it didn't happen. It was quite good. IIRC the SciFi channel (where it originally aired) decided they liked the idea and went ahead and commissioned a series with a very similar story line but with cheaper actors (Warehouse 13).

This is in contrast to the early '90s mini series Golden Years, which was similar (pitched as a mini but in reality a back door pilot). At the end I was so disgusted that they didn't wrap up some significant story points that I was kind of glad they didn't get picked up. Served them right.

Morbidly amusing when Sci-Fi/SyFy did the same (cancelled a bunch of stuff), like, it's your f***ing name....

That's like AMC showing new TV shows instead of, ya know, AMERICAN MOVIE CLASSICS.

But we got Breaking Bad out of it so...it wasn't without its benefits..

I really liked The Lost Room. It was different. Little Elle Fanning. It's also on Tubi.

I just re-watched Dollhouse, which once you get past the slight ickiness of the first season got pretty good in Season 2. I am about to re-watch Revolution.

Dead Like Me, Pushing Daisies, and Hannibal are mentioned above...I'll see you on those other Bryan Fuller shows and raise you a Wonderfalls.
