Need Help! Neither controller will connect to my PS4

I was in the middle of playing a game and lost all connection to my PS4 with both controllers. I've tried turning my PS4 on with the controller connected with the USB. And I've reset both controllers and tried turning on the system connected with USB again. Twice after resetting the controller the PS4 did turn on, but I can't get past the Press the PS button to use the controller screen. Anyone have and Ideas what else to try?

I got it. Found a video where he showed how to do a hard restart by holding down the power button for 2 beeps then waiting until it completely powers off then unplugging the system for 15-20 seconds.
