Default The Last of the Mohicans (1992)

I just watched this for the first time in a long while on my 2010 Blu-ray. It is definately a prime candidate for a UHD release as the BD is a bit scrubbed for my liking. The latest Mann cut is also quite dark compared to the DVDs, although it's definitely possible that the BD is more accurate to the answer print. At times it is hard to make out what is going on even on my OLED in a pitch black room so I can only imagine how it would look in the theater as my display has way better blacks than can ever be found via projection. Even if the timing remains the same, HDR would really help bring out some shadow detail here.

Solid film with a killer score and cinematography. I hope to get a upgraded version of it and hopefully see the theatrical cut as well.

It's a Fox film so Disney. There's no current HDR or 4K restoration in the vault. It may end up on digital at some point with Disney no longer continuing with live action catalog physical releases after 'Home Alone'.

Ugh, that's right. Crap.

It might have to survive off of a 35mm fan restoration in that case. Thanks for the info though.

The French BD has a quality transfer of the theatrical cut, without any of the darkness and filtering from the "definitive" version.
