Isn't French the original language on this? I know a lot of people are fond of the English dub though.

The real issue to me is no English subs. What a pity.

Wasn't the movie originally not in English though? It's more disappointing to me that there's no English subtitles.

French dub only like the french edition from Le Chat qui fume.

The lack of English subs is more likely down to rights issues. Probably why UK releases don't have French/German etc subs (unless they are big studios who own Europe-wide releases).

It's a low-rent pulpy adventure with softcore and spoof elements. I found it okay to watch once, but haven't felt the urge to revisit.

Most of the dialogue in the movie, is in English.
Just like with the Italian movies back then, this was made for an international release.
So both the English and French dubs are "Original".
