Would my TV use HDMI 1.3, and how can I tell I looked in the manual and all that says is HDMI with no version number. I bought the TV in 2007

What manufacturer and model number is it? If you know that, just google it to find out information about it.

Have a look at the specification on the manufacturers web-site.

If something has HDMI V1.3, there's usually no mistaking it, as it's a marketing feature and manufacturers normally broadcast it from the top of the mountain.

It's not that important anyway, as the additional functionality of each successive HDMI version is never compulsory, so it's no indication of whether the device can support deep colour or bitstream audio for example. You simply have to read the specs every time.
