Woodlawn - Blu-ray (Pure Flix Entertainment) 1-26-16 release date

On 1-19-16 Universal Studios is going to release the Christian movie called Woodlawn on the Blu-ray format in the United States. Currently this Blu-ray is not listed on the Amazon USA website. This Woodlawn Blu-ray has a list price of $29.99, however the Family Christian website currently has a sale on the pre-order for $19.99.

I did not get a chance to see this Woodlawn movie in the commercial movie theater. This is a true story.

As of November 20th 2015 box office sells are over $14 million dollars. The movie aspect ratio is anamorphic 2:35:1 using a RED DRAGON digital camera at redcode raw 6K quality. Maybe one day this Woodlawn movie might be released in 4K Ultra HD quality.

The Best Buy website has this Woodlawn Blu-ray for a pre-order price of $19.99 with free shipping. Also both the Amazon Canada website and Best Buy USA website are showing this Woodlawn Blu-ray of being released on 1-19-16 instead of 1-26-16. So I changed the release date in the original post.

Another issue is that Best Buy is showing this Woodlawn release is a two disc release.Most likely Pure Flix Entertainment is releasing this as a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack (that is the norm now for new Pure Flix Entertainment releases).

Important update

According to the front of the Blu-ray jacket and the Family Christian website, this Woodlawn movie is a Pure Flix Entertainment movie. However in the United States this Woodlawn Blu-ray movie is being distributed by Universal Studios. In the past Pure Flix Entertainment 100% of the time released their own Blu-ray titles, this is the first time I am aware of Universal Studios distributing Pure Flix movies on the Blu-ray format. Pure Flix Entertainment must have some type of business relationship with Universal Studios. In Canada the Woodlawn Blu-ray is being distributed by Mongrel Media.
