Default Beethoven’s 2nd (1993)

Universal released the original on blu-ray in 2016, but no apparent plans for this sequel, the only other film in the series to get a theatrical release. Personally, I always preferred this one as a kid. Debi Mazar makes a great villain, and I love the third act at the lakefront community. That in particular would look nice on blu, I think.

This film also has the surprising distinction of having an Oscar nomination, for the supremely cheesy and VERY 90s James Ingram and Dolly Parton diet, “The Day I Fall in Love.”

All in all, not a classic, but more than enough to warrant a blu-ray release in my mind. I have my doubts that Universal will release it themselves since it’s been so long since they did the first one, but fingers crossed someone will at least license it like Fabulous Films did for Region B.
