So i'm thinking of getting a 4K player now. There are, however, some things i'm wondering about. For starters, my first Blu-Ray player was bought off of Ebay and was Region Free. A few months after i got it i downloaded a software update and after that it was Region A/1 locked. Does this happen easily with 4K Blu-Ray players? Also, i really want to have a player that features CC decoding. Is that required on 4K players like it has been in the US on regular Blu-Ray players since January 1st 2014? If not, are there any that features it?

I ended up buying one that was on Ebay that's region free. It also has the CC option on it. I don't have a great audio system, but i do have a pair of portable headset, but hopefully i'll be able to move to a bigger place in not too long of a time. The 4K player was a bit on the expennsive side, but after having it for 1,5 weeks i do think it was worth it.
