MVD will be releasing the Spanish-Italian Western Four Bullets for Joe (Cuatro balazos) on October 24th. No word on any extras, if any.

As I didn't first read about this MVD release until late last Friday night, I decided to leave commenting on this news until early this week.

I had wondered about which language audio there would be (having asked a fellow member on here, there will be Spanish audio). Any extras/bonus features would be a bonus, but if there end up not being any (or hardly any), it wouldn't be a dealbreaker. I had never heard of Four Bullets for Joe, but having checked it out, am quietly looking forward to this release (I still have some older MVD titles I want to get). I checked out the other film mentioned in the starter post of this thread, Hour of Death (hopefully if Four Bullets for Joe ends up being a Blu-ray release worth getting, Hour of Death gets the same treatment).

This is listed at just $7.99 at Best Buy

..Not sure if that's a price mistake or what. The DVD is listed at $9.99, which Amazon is matching.

I checked the $7.99 Best Buy UPC to see if it was being mixed up with the DVD, but it isn't. It looks to line up with Amazon's Blu-ray listing.

Been looking forward to this MVD release (pre-ordered it a few months ago). If the transfer ends up being not too bad, I won't complain as the pre-order price was a bargain.

I grabbed it on Amazon back when it was $8 as a pre-order... and now I'm glad that's all I paid for it.

The transfer is pretty poor. Blurry, wonky colors, a lot of black crush, blown-out contrast. Perhaps DNR'ed since there is little visible detail, especially in darker scenes.

It's not unwatchable, but barely what I would call even a decent HD transfer. I guess the only good thing is that there isn't much damage visible.

Is it as terrible as IMDB seems to indicate as a movie?

It's quite boring, yes. I've seen worse Euro Westerns, but it's definitely lower tier.
