Looks pretty awesome, but then so did Shivers... Bold announcing this in the middle of their investigation of that disc.

They caught a lot of flack for unknowingly releasing a cut version of Shivers. If they did that again their reputation would be royally screwed. I'm sure this will be a dope release. The special features look amazing.

As soon as the 'Shivers' issue came to light, I personally undertook a forensic examination of Arrow's 'Rabid' master, and am very happy to confirm that it matches an uncut DVD release frame for frame. I also double-checked to make sure that two short bits that were cut from certain European releases (the scene in the parking lot, a briefly truncated shot of a train pulling into the station) were intact in this version. So you can relax about this one!

First "X" cert i snuck into the cinema to see back in the 70's.That steelbook brings the memories flooding back.will be pickin it up,cracking film as well,Cronenberg's best imo.

That steelbook is a must, I still have the quad poster along with the press booklet and stills. It's a pity Marilyn Chambers wasn't accepted as a mainstream actress as I think she had talent. I think she'd have been perfect as Jackie Burke if Quentin Tarantino had been willing to make a film of Rum Punch instead of indulging his blaxploitation obsession with Pam Grier

I just decided to finally go region free, and this is my official first Region B title. And its a blind buy for me. I love Cronenberg, but never got around to seeing this one. U.S. releases, if any, have been rare.
