WBShop You've Got Mail (1998)

I love watching this film and getting nostalgic for the Internet experience when I was growing up.

I don't think rom-coms are in demand for 4K treatment but I would like to see it happen.

More Chappelle, even in small roles, in 4K, the better.

If just one rom-com comes to this format stopping other way more in demand titles to come then I don't want it. Some genres you don't need in 4K quality, nor HDR, especially.

Now if there was a scan done already it might be different, but I don't think 90's and 2000's rom coms have been scanned in 4K yet, if they will at all hah

Well, You've Got Mail isn't even on the list of top grossing in this category. The number one top grossing Rom-com is My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Good movie, though I'd rather see this or a few others first. Maybe one day when 12K becomes the norm, we'll get a 4K Rom-com.

in some ways I think they suit 4k better than the action flicks they often favor (the latter often have drab palettes for much of the film, tons of constant action motion which doesn't reveal resolution quite as well, etc.)

yeah but stuff like this would benefit super from 4k and wide gamut, they often have bright saturated colors, still scenes that show off detail well, cute girls, some were shot in very crisp fashion (heck the recent Last Christmas was the sharpest, most detailed 4k DCP I've seen in my life)
