I realized there's no dedicated thread for The Handmaid's Tale (1990) movie, starring the late Natasha Richardson:

Just watched this recently. Excellent film; I had read the book back in the '90's & IIRC I had seen the movie at least once before. However, the Blu was obviously far superior to the DVD - excellent print, great color(s), and great acting by the leads & the supporting actors/actresses.

Very disturbing dystopian/post-apocalyptic/futuristic setting - this is definitely a future I could easily see happening at some point, given the right circumstances.
