Sony WH-1000XM4

I purchased the Sony XM4 at Target during Prime Day sale. I plan to only use it with my AppleTV to watch minly movies/tv and on occassion some music.

I was wondering if anyone had any EQ settings they could share for movie watching. I’ve only found Sony XM3 settings for music so far.

This is currently $278-$280 for Black Friday sales at Target, Best Buy and Walmart.

I was unable to get a price adjustment at Target cause it had been more than 14 days when I bought mine but they let me do a return rebuy, so I saved $21

Noticed this deal as well. The Sony's are the same price at Target so you could save an extra 5% with RedCard and that might be what I would have done except I'm expecting the WF-1000xm4 in-ears to arrive tomorrow.

I just bought these.
I know the XM5 is likely coming out at the end of the summer but this is on a good sale and my PSB headphones are not working very well anymore.
I need something good and these are it.

I haven’t completely dived in yet but man these sound great! There’s a clarity that I’m not sure that I’d gotten with my PSB’s but will compare to know.
I didn’t want to listen to my usual genre while breaking them in so played some Fleetwood Mac, Peter Gabriel, Dire Straits and others.
The set up was something else, but painless.

These are very impressive and I understand why so many great reviews.

I see the XM5's are out now. I won't make a thread since I just got my XM4's and won't be getting the newer cans.

With these EQ Settings they best any Sony PlayStation Gaming Headset & almost spit on my Sennheiser’s.

They best my PSB’s with sound quality.
The noise cancelling is close. Too close to call actually.
I’ve subscribed to Tidal and like what I hear.
They’re pretty great headphones!

Are those settings good for music or films as well? I have been using them with the settings out of the box, but mainly to watch films since I don't have a sound system yet.

No complaints so far, but I'll try these settings if they are improvements in general.

They are good for everything.

I was skeptical myself, then I tested these on music, movies, gaming, shows, etc, etc.

Vastly superior AQ over the default outta box.

Thank you! These settings truly improve the overall audio quality compared to the out of the box settings. very noticeable all around and the bass is a better as well.

With iTunes improving sound quality and along with Tidal’s good sound and the settings you’ve shared too, I’m enjoying these headphones VERY much!
