This was a nice surprise to wake up to this morning! I think this is the first time we're getting a tat edition since the 75th anniversary, here in the US. It'd be nice if they did do it for Elm Street. Its too bad they didn't do it for Casablanca here, because I've been wanting it UCE but its OOP and can only be found at high prices on eBay.

Edit: Users mentioned using the 20% off code on Gruv to make it $45. But they never mentioned if it was for an email used before or a new one. Last I read on here, Gruv is cracking down on the 20% off even more, making it impossible to even use new email addresses to use it. Can anyone confirm if they are still doing that?

With "Gruv" offering this for $55 USD, it will be interesting to see how low Amazon will go before shipment commences. When they have little (or no) competition on a product, they can be quite stubborn but will usually bend when there's obvious other sellers in the game.

One of my favorites growing up! Watched this over and over back in the day.

I already own the “Dorothy in flowers” steelbook.

Do I really NEED this one, too? I’ll probably pass unless it goes on sale / promo somewhere (Target’s B2G1).

Gruv is the cheapest, but it seems like I keep getting scratched discs. Not that it’s their fault in that regard, but they are making it more difficult when you want to exchange / return.

Disc will likely be the same as the old release, right?

Super annoying that Gruv requires the damaged disc be shipped back before they ship the replacement so no way to pick out the best discs.

And now they are requiring a photo for scratches. Hell, it takes me a few minutes just to get a decent pic of the scratch. It’s difficult!

Using them as a last resort now…or unless something is just way cheaper.

Are they really? Ugh! It took me 10 mins today taking photos of my scratched Criterion discs. Replacements were approved at least. It’s like a second job sometimes.

I believe that it took 10 minutes!

I finally got a small desk lamp, and that's much easier than relying on ceiling lights.

I've been importing these UCE style editions from the UK for a while now, so it's nice to see them being released this side of the Atlantic. I own too many copies of this movie already, so what's another one.

This is a beautiful transfer and since it's likely the last time we'll be offered a gift set with extra's I'll definitely grab it. Hopefully OrbitDvd offers it so I can get one without damage.

New artwork for sure, whether it's a remastered transfer with improved colors won't really know until people get it home & test the disc out. I've still got the 80th Anniversary Best Buy Exclusive 4K steelbook somewhere, unless the 4K disc goes bad or new 85th Anniversary steelbook is released by itself I probably won't be upgrading again.
