Dragon Dynasty's Five Deadly Venoms blu-ray looks amazing, yet their blu-ray of 36th Chamber looks disastrous.

Ah, now this is my specialty. I can't get enough of martial arts movies. Here are some of my favorites on blu ray...

* The Raid: Redemption (an absolute MUST HAVE)

* The Tournament

* Ip man 1 & 2

* District 13

* Undisputed 3

* Ong Bak 1-2-3

* The Protector

* BKO: Bangkok Knockout

* Bangkok Adrenaline

* Raging Phoenix

* Kill Zone

* Bunraku

* Transporter 1 & 3

* Kill em All

Also, some DVD only movies worth owning for great fights...

* Brotherhood of the Wolf
* Dragon Tiger Gate
* Fatal Contact
* Bad Blood

Five Deadly Venoms and 36th Chamber of Shaolin, as well as 8 Diagram Pole Fighter and Dirty Ho are definite must haves

This was one of my Christmas gifts yesterday...

A painfully obvious answer to this thread, but it's such a great film. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Blu-ray improves over my previous DVD.

The 36th Chamber of Shaolin is an eventual candidate for upgrade to Blu-ray. I love that film.

Don't bother with the 36th Chamber Blu-ray. OldPangYau is correct. The Blu-ray is awful and just keep your copy of the Dragon Dynasty DVD release.

I would like to recommend Chocolate instead of Raging Phoenix.

Kill Bill 1&2 are also good.

Am not sure any of these show Kung Fu, but they do show martial arts. Hero has gravity-defying martial arts that don't look fake, along with some interesting cinemaphotography.

More recommendations:
Wheels on Meals
Dragons Forever

The Blu-rays from Kam & Rom (HK Region A) do not have great PQ and AQ but for somebody who never had the DVDs like myself, they'll do.
The movies are great with some great fighting sequences. Highly recommended!

I think Ip Man and Fearless are good releases as far as PQ. I also like Enter The Dragon.

The HK release is by far superior to the US release in terms of PQ. I bought the Ip Man 1 + 2 pack from DDDHouse several months ago for about $25. It even came with a slipcover.

I noticed Kung Fu Hustle was mentioned. What was not mentioned is that the U.S. release is edited while the region free U.K. release is not.

This has been on my wishlist for awhile now, how are the fight scenes in this? Also only seen Dragon Tiger Gate mentioned once and was surprised at how little love it's getting since I thought it was awesome!
