Default PS3 remote sales?

Any information posted on how many remotes have been sold for the PS3? Seems like 1 thing that Sony might not keep track of or think important enough to release, but you can pretty much say that for every remote sold, at least one of those is going to a PS3 being used to watch blu-rays. They probably don't wanna release the numbers because it'll be a fraction of the people who watch blu just with their controller, but if it's enough it could easily refute the notion there are less 'blu-ray players" out there.

That's good thinking, and probably someting to ask the SCE Insider once his thread is unlocked again...

Hmmm... something is happening, it's ranking #7 in sales in Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers...=pd_dp_ts_vg_1

#10 in amazon Canada:
http://www.amazon.ca/gp/bestsellers/..._dp_ts_vg_h__1

Only #38 in amazon.co.uk, though:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/bestselle...2?ie=UTF8&pg=2

Obviously, the PS3 is being used to watch movies, go figure...
