Moonraker - underrated Bond.

Hugo Drax (to henchman Chang): "Look after Mr. Bond. See that some harm comes to him."

Moonraker is a hugely enjoyable Bond film, and Michael Lonsdale gives a really great performance as Drax, probably one of my favourite villains. A proper mad Bond baddie with a big, evil plan.

The Day of the Jackal, Ronin and Munich are three of the best Euro thrillers ever made.

I really like his performance in Ronin. It's a small role in just one sequence but it's so good and made an impression on me the first time I saw it.

RIP

Damn shame to lose him; he was quite superb in the television film The Bunker with Anthony Hopkins. RIP, Mr Lonsdale.

Moonraker is one of the worst Bonds, but that’s not Michael Lonsdale’s fault, who was the best part of the movie.

Magnificent actor, I really enjoyed his performance in Le Fantôme de la Liberté, Day of the Jackal, Smiley’s People, The Remains of the Day, Ronin and Munich (and I’m probably forgetting some).
