Terry Gilliam's The Man Who Killed Don Quixote will be released on Blu-ray on June 4th by Screen Media.

Still waiting for somebody to pick up UK distribution, had Amazon retained the rights and not dropped them it would have been in theaters for at least a couple of weeks

I've given up on a UK theatrical run, will probably spring for the US or UK Blu-ray at some point

Wonder what the US cover will look like. This seem to be something Terry Gilliam was passionate about and it's taken over a decade to finally get made. Really looking forward to this.

seems like the Spanish one has English subtitles, the german and the Italian one don't have English sutitles

There is at least one subtitle joke AFAIK, so need a release that has the correct subs for that moment.

I watched the first half of the German release last night (I was really enjoying it but too tired)
There is a subtitle

[Show spoiler]

with burnt in German subtitles. I had an English SRT file which appears to be translated from another language so it was an unusual experience. Opening titles are in German.
Otherwise PQ and AQ seemed surprisingly clear to me.
The Spanish version looked like a bootleg to me so I avoided it. (and reviews say there are no English subs)

Has this movie been reviewed? In theory, it should be perfect considering how much time Gilliam had to work on it. In reality, his filmmaking has been on the downslide since 12 Monkeys.
