Default The Sum of all Fears (2002) vs. Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit (2014)

Which of these aborted attempts to reboot the Jack Ryan franchise do you prefer? I just saw Sum again for the first time since its theatrical release and was surprised by how engrossed I was. Shadow Recruit on the other hand felt much more like a generic retread although I garnered reasonable entertainment value from it. In both cases, the love interest was serviceable though not really remarkable. Note: actor Colm Feore appears in both movies though as different characters.
