Default JB HiFI AU closed for overseas buyers again?

Sorry, tried to bump my last thread but its locked.

Is anyone else getting this issue again? I can't click the 'Proceed to Payment' button.

Incidentally, my orders from late March still havnt arrived.

I was able to order from them on Tuesday for the 30% off sale, and my order was shipped yesterday.

I also sent them a message yesterday about my order from April 3rd, and they responded with

"I can see that your order has been split across two orders as such they each have differing time frames.
There is a delay on orders, However I can see that yours has a rough ETA of the 15/06-20/06.
However, this may not necessarily be a strict time frame."

So yours should arrive any day now

You have to put in an Australian phone number. It doesn't matter what it is.

I've never used an Australian phone number for my orders. My NZ mobile number works fine.

I should have been more specific. If you're trying to get items shipped to the US, you have to put in an Aussie phone number. I don't know about other countries.

Thanks, I played around a bit with phone numbers and it works. A bit buggy as I have always had the same number loaded and no issues before.

Won't bother now though as their 30% off sale finished last night.

I tested putting an order through the day before yesterday and I couldn't seem to get through to the payment stage as it was greyed out.
"Proceed To Payment" still seems to be greyed out. I have a NZ address chosen and it says "International Delivery" under the items, but it is greyed out.

[edit] I tried entering in an Ozzie phone number and now it's totally stuffed. Won't even let me look at my car or edit my addresses

I also had an issue trying to place an order shipping to the US. I emailed customer service and they explained that they are aware of the issue with international phone numbers being buggy and they are trying to resolve it. They told me to put the phone number in as (+61)0400 000 000. I did it and I was able to get the order to go through.

Also, shipping has been very slow because of the covid issue. It took over 2 months for part of an order to arrive.

That's heartening news, inasmuch as I have been waiting for almost two months for a Blu-ray I bought on eBay to get here from the US. I don't care if I have to wait another month, just as long as it eventually arrives, since it's a movie (Vampire Circus, if anyone is wondering) I've wanted on Blu-ray for yonks.

Yeah, when I tried to order a couple of days ago it wouldn't proceed, but it was the phone number problem, you have to put the correct international prefix for your country (UK here) & it goes through.

Hi. Has anyone had success recently? I tried the Australian phone number trick (and NZ too, just in case). No luck. I always get the following error.

"A special order item in your cart is not available for delivery to your selected address. Please remove the item(s), or enter a different address and try again."

I live in the US, in case it matters.

What's the item you're trying to order?

Odd. Maybe try and contact JB? Or you can also order it from Sanity who also ship internationally.

I'm having similar issues. JB Hifi will let me buy Elephant Man 4K and War Of The Worlds (IMPRINT) but not I Married A Monster From Outer Space (IMPRINT) to ship to the US. I contacted them on Sunday and they said they'd get back to me but I haven't heard anything yet

Thanks. I went ahead and ordered from Sanity. A bit more than JB but at least I don't have to deal with their brain-dead website backend. Good luck to those who are sticking with JB!

Try using the phone number in your info that rallymonkey suggests in his above post and don't use a VPN. I use one most of the time and it doesn't seem to like it.

Yeah the phone number is frigging irritating even for Australian customers like me. I don't want them calling me, or messaging me. But they then seem to use it to SMS you RATHER than sending you an email (well they have for me). I personally never look at my messages, notifications are disabled, as there is no one that I personally know that would SMS me, and I get all this stupid spam I can't stop. I only ever use it when I'm directly expecting a message like a one time authentication code.

I tried using that number before posting, and I don't use VPNs day-to-day. It still wouldn't work. :/

Same here. Now nothing I put in my cart will ship and after initially responding to my request for assistance, it’s crickets from JB HiFi
