Default Connecting soundboard multiple devices

Hi. I have a quick question. I have a vizio surround atmos soundbar setup and have it connected to my xbox one via hdmi. The soundbar has only one out and one input. Currently we use the Xbox for everything including streaming TV and playing blues.

I want to upgrade and add in a bluray player. I was thinking of using a hdmi switch, but that might be a pain for the wife to switch over between the 2.

Could I plug the bluray player into the input on the Xbox one since the Xbox is always on when the TV is on anyway and get sound from the bluray player to the soundbar that way? Or would i lose audio/video quality?

Thank you.

Sorry found my answer after some other misleading reports. XBOX one s does not support 4K pass through. A switch it is.

I think you should be able to get one with auto switching? Just make sure it’s HDCP 2.2 and HDMI 2.0 plus compliant.
