Shout Factory makes Kino look like Criterion as far as transfers/curation/extras/booklets goes.

Shout’s transfers and curation are top notch, no idea what you’re on about. Now as far as booklets and shit, that’s just not their thing, they leave that to Arrow, SS and VS.

It also includes some other extras as well but aren't advertised, such as scene selections and Interactive Menus!

I fear Timecop, from the same licensors, will suffer the same fate. Why isn't Shout remastering these? Could it be some kind of stupid clause in the contract that old masters be utilized? The label is going downhill fast and I'm worried.

I have a hard time imagining Shout acquired the Largo library (which they did - it wasn’t a license, it was an acquisition, which you may argue semantics but typically connotes a longer period more likely in the 10+ year commitment range) for any real purpose except 4K releases of Point Break and Timecop. Those are clearly the jewels of the library that make such a deal, and the rest are being treated as afterthoughts.

I got an email too, but you might want to check the link in the email. The email says "Your order is on the way," but the link shows that the order has only reached the point where the label has been created, USPS doesn't yet have the package.
