Another big one for Batman. The lack of any concrete info on a Long Halloween adaption makes me think even more that the Reeves movie will be a riff on it.

Seems this'll be a collection of shorts, A Death in the Family being one of them.

Take this with a grain of salt. But on a recent episode of Kevin Smith’s Podcast, Fatman Beyond. He heard from a “reliable source”, that it is Long Halloween.

That would be awesome, as long as Robert Pattinson isn't really playing Batman. Nothing against the guy, but I doubt I could even buy him as Robin, maybe Joker or Scarecrow...

Hasn't it been confirmed that it is?

I dunno if it's been confirmed. Just people putting context clues together based on reports and rumors.

Death in the family would seem hard pressed to fit into the current dcau continuity (given that they already have Damian Wayne and Red Hood...), unless it's just going to be a standalone.

Isn't that kind of redundant seeing as Batman Begins and The Dark Knight cribbed from it heavily?

If I hadn't already seen Pattinson in some amazing indie films like Good Time, I would have said the same thing. I'm giving him a chance based on his recent work.

The MPAA have rated both versions R. I say both versions because one of them is interactive. Presumably the viewer will be able to decide whether or not Robin dies ala the controversial comic book vote.

Huh... looks like they're taking a lot of liberties with this one. I feel like I just watched a remake of Under the Red Hood. I get that both stories cover similar ground, but the fact that they appear to have reused footage just reeks of laziness.

I’ll be interested to see how people respond to the interactivity. Not sold on the idea yet, but being connected to Under the Red Hood is a plus. We’ll see
