Default question about upgrading subwoofer with Onkyo HT-S7800 HTIB

Hi friends, I've got an Onkyo HT-S7800 htib and coming from a more powerful sub in the past, the 10" sub isn't doin it for me... I want to upgrade to an SVS SB1000. Can I just plug and play and swap the old sub with the new one? Hope this isn't a silly question, I've never owned a HTIB before and wanted to make sure there wasn't going to be an issue going from the stock powered sub to an aftermarket powered sub. Also, if I felt like it, could I add a splitter and run both subs? Thanks for the help!

EDIT - Just got the answer on another forum, mods you can delete this!
