Last night, I purchased "The Three Stooges Collection - Volume 4" on iTunes. I already have these on DVD, but AppleTV has these episodes listed as HD on the app. So, I decided to go for the upgrade and buy it for $19.99. After the purchase, I discovered they were not in HD after all. They were in SD. I logged into iTunes on my computer and noticed all the Three Stooges episodes were labelled as SD, not HD like the app. So, that HD label must be a glitch or incorrect info on the AppleTV app. Due to this, I felt it was unfair to pay $20 for something that was mislabeled on the app. So, this morning, I submitted a refund request for this purchase. The email says it will take 48 hours for an update.
Any chance iTunes will honor this refund request? Seems like a long shot to me, but I've never done this before so I figured it's worth a shot. After all, if these episodes were going to be in HD as labelled on the app, I wouldn't be doing this. So, it's not like I'm doing this maliciously. |

I only ever asked for one refund (Call me by Your Name) due to terrible subtitles either always on or always off so the foreign language sections were problematic. The advisor led me to believe it was a 1-time refund. Was she just spinning me a line?

I already submitted the refund request and it says it will take 48 hours for review. I called them just now to see if I can get immediate assistance and they told me I need to wait 48 hours. They said it takes time to be reviewed and approved and can't be done sooner. So I'm stuck waiting...

Did you watch a large portion of the film? If not, does sound like you were being wound up.

That explains it. I am sure they have a log of how long you have watched and system determines if it's manual or automatic refund. In my case, I had watched about 3-5 minutes by skipping chapters |

Yeah, I skimmed through all the episodes on my purchase to confirm that all episodes were in SD and not HD. Hope they honor my request and not give me a hard time by claiming that I watched all the videos. Regardless, I will fight tooth and nail to get a refund if they deny my request. I guess we'll find out by Tuesday...

Yeah, I imagine they would reject if they suspect that anyone is abusing it. This was my first time I've ever asked for a refund and it was actually their fault. I bought something I already had on DVD at full price because it was mistakenly labelled as HD on their app when it wasn't. If the episodes has been in HD as they were labelled, I wouldn't have requested the refund.
