I can't wait to get "A Passage to India" on Blu-ray next week! For this to be director David Lean's final film, I'd say that it ranks right up there with other Lean classics such as "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Doctor Zhivago"! I thought that the underrated Judy Davis was mesmerizing in this movie, but it's just too bad that she didn't win the Best Actress Oscar for the movie. But anyways, I will definitely be picking this up next week!

I've preordered A Passage to India with full confidence in Sony the day it went up for preorder. Glad Gary liked the disc so much.
There is no reason to call this disc a "pity" for any reason -- especially since Lean's career encompasses so much more than high-end spectaculars, and this film is a great combination of the epic and intimate qualities of his entire opus. |

Has anyone seen this movie yet? It would be a blind buy for me, but it has gotten good reviews and the movie is suppossed to be very good as well. I would just like some feedback on the movie itself, as well as the PQ/AQ if anyone has seen the Blu-Ray.

It may not be as good LOA, Zhivago, or Bridge on the River Kwai but is a multiple oscar winner for good reason. |
