Default Anyone have Wild Wild West: The Complete Series?

I'm wondering how this looks on DVD. I'm also wondering if the two TV movies are included in this set: https://www.amazon.com/Wild-West-Complete/dp/B00TZF2KEU

I don't own it, but have checked out the first season from the library, and it looked great! No idea on the TV movies.

When the series was first released as a mega set it had a bonus disc with the movies on it. The set you are talking about does not. They started selling this disc seperately which reminds me, I still need to get it.

As mentioned above, the reunion films aren't included in the edition that you linked to, they are only in the 2008 release.

That said, the reunion film in the 2008 set are together on a single disc (one-sided) without any disc art (just the generic silver/gray CBS/Paramount logo and the film titles). The transfer for both films is adequate but nothing special.

Someone gave me the complete series set and the two movies DVD.

I just watched the Pilot and the very last episode of the series and they both looked great. The Pilot is in black and white and the final series show is in color.

I absolutely loved this show as a kid.

I’m sure it would look great but I have to say based on the two episodes I watched last night the DVD looked amazing.

Definitely. The colors pop and it looks and sounds great. I am hoping if this ever makes it to blu, it will look like the Batman series does....

I keep hoping with other vintage series coming to Blu-ray that Paramount will put this out (preferably with the special features on season one)

Yeah, I am not sure what the hold up is now that Paramount is back in the physical media game. Hopefully they are working on it. I would love to see all those guest star episodes in HD!

Other guest stars included Beverly Garland, Richard Pryor, Suzanne Pleshette, Victor Buono, Richard Kiel, Katharine Ross, Leslie Nielsen, John Barrymore Jr., Nick Adams, Don Rickles, Ida Lupino, Patsy Kelly, Sammy Davis Jr. (in an episode directed by Richard Donnor!), Carroll O'Connor, Harry Dean Stanton, Jack Elam, Susan Hart, Dawn Wells, Alan Hale Jr., Jim Backus, Jonathan Winters and others.

I love how bat sh*t crazy this show was, this was not your standard western Tv show!

For some reason I really prefer season 1 to the color seasons that followed.
I'd maybe buy season 1 on Blu-ray but not the whole series. The DVDs looked good. Shame there are no significant extras.

1st season production order and a few notes.

Agreed that the first season does have some good extras but the later seasons were a missed opportunity. A featurette or documentary would have been nice. I’d love someone like Kino to get the rights to the series. They go the extra mile. A Blu-ray release from them would be awesome. Given that Paramount has been releasing some of their series to Blu-ray I do have a little bit of hope for the show. The series became more fantastic with color and continued in that vein and I love the first three seasons. Season four felt the weakest to me.

I keep waiting for Paramount to release these on Blu-ray (4K would be nice but I NEVER see that happening at least for disc). The series with its colors really demand an HDR pass and a nice transfer to blu. The DVDs don't look bad they just aren't up to snuff for discs any more. I have the TV movies as well where very little was done to clean them up for release. They would be nice bonus features (they aren't great but they are fun).

I will say I do like the photoshopped (everyone also uses photoshop in a negative way when almost ALL artwork is photoshopped) artwork for the DVD Complete Series set more than the previous Complete Series box with the movies. The packaging is at least more compact and the DVDs are less likely to be damaged (I bought the previous one where they were all stored in cardboard rather than in an Amray case). If they do a Complete Blu-ray set, I would prefer to have individual seasons in a cardboard box but, likely, they'll do the same thing they did here and for "The Twilight Zone".

Anyone hear anything about a Blu-ray for this? I would imagine they archived 2k or 4k of the series.
