Dylan Sprouse joins the cast of the After movie sequel, After We Collided. It has also been announced that Roger Kumble is the director of After We Collided.

After is essentially the Gen Z Fifty Shades of Grey, a viral online novel turned print bestseller about a naive college student, Tessa, who falls for the moody, controlling Hardin. Their tumultuous sexual relationship is the basis for the novel After and its sequels, After We Collided, After We Fell, and After Ever Happy. The first book was turned into a movie that was released this past June and made a sexy sixty nine million at the global box office. Oh, and the whole thing originated as One Direction fan fiction.

All of which is to say that Universal gave the green light to a sequel movie, and it's just been announced that Dylan Sprouse, twin brother of Riverdale star Cole Sprouse, will play Trevor, a co-worker of Tessa's who harbors feelings for her. The character is called 'F-cking Trevor' because Hardin hates him, according to Popbuzz. And before you judge any of this too harshly, remember that many a millennial wore Team Edward and Team Jacob gear in public once upon a time.

After We Collided is currently in pre-production but filming should commence shortly.

Looks like they filmed it in less than a month from August-September. Quick turnaround.

Will it get a theatrical run though or go straight to Netflix (where the first film recently got more fans)?

Looks to be Rated-R. Fifty Shades left a hole in the box office and After is attempting to fill it.

Watched it last night and enjoyed it. It could've been trimmed by 10 minutes or so. They didn't use that R rating as much as they would though. Quite a few sex scenes but they're either clothed or shot up close when naked so we only see above the chests. The F-bombs are a nice new addition though. Add better cinematography and music, and this film is easily better than the first.

Wow, it looks like this is only getting the BD-R / DVD-R treatment on November 24th.

Universal released the first movie on Blu-ray+DVD combo, was expecting the same for the sequel.

That's just embarrassing. Let's hope for a region-free release from another country since this film seems to make most of its money overseas.

I already saw it on digital, but my theatre surprisingly ended up putting the movie in a bigger theatre with more comfortable seats and way better sound, so I decided to pay a very low fee of $5 ($10 total for my friend and I) to watch with one of my best friends, who I made watch the first movie on Netflix and she was instantly in love with it.

We were the only ones in the theatre and loved it.
