Default The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy on BD/DVD?

I love this show and I don't remember if it ever received a home release anywhere in the world?

Also, what about Ed, Edd n' Eddy?

Thanks. I'll look that up.

"Trim" was thanks to the darn autocorrect.

Ed, Edd n Eddy only has the 1st 2 Seasons on DVD in the U.S. Other countries went further but still not entire series. There is also Holiday Cartoon Network DVDs that have an additional episode or 2 on each.

Unfortunately it seems to be rather expensive, like $400? What?

The only option is Amazon Prime, but it doesn't really give me the option to own it.

I always wondered why Cartoon Network is so bad about releasing their classic series on DVD. Even back when physical media was a big deal in the early to mid 2000s they were terrible about it. So many classics without any sort of physical release. It's too bad because I'd buy a lot of them.

Well the problem might be Warner Brothers at least for the U.S. Warner is kind of known for taking forever to put out their cartoons on DVD especially if it isn't something DC related or Looney Tunes. Many Cartoon Network series will at best will just get some Warner Archive release with the Manufacture On Demand discs. Might be better than nothing but I prefer an actual release on real discs.

iTunes has most of the episodes of classic Cartoon Network series. Mostly just missing like Specials and that 1 Season 6 episode of Ed, Edd, n Eddy I guess because the Season was only 1 episode. Why they did not just add it to Season 5 or on its own I will never know. That final episode is like a myth because its hard to find anything for it.

It would be nice for more Cartoon Network classics to be released on home media. Blu-ray releases would be a dream come true.

Perhaps Warner Archive can release some (as the DC/Hanna-Barbera releases seem to be successful).

Billy and Mandy is a modern masterpiece and definitely deserves a blu-ray release. I mean, we have Space Ghost now. Why not the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy?!?!?!

Warner thinks most of the modern era Cartoon Network shows aren't popular enough (unlike say something DC Comics or franchises like Hanna Barbera/Looney Toons) to warrant the costs and losses for putting out complete series/season sets on DVD/BD. Plus, I hear some of them have serious legal issues, mainly involving their creators and Union/Non-Union groups wanting their shares outside of TV airings.

By seeing the title I almost got excited to see a childhood show of mine was getting a BD Release. Apparently Not.

Also give me Courage the Cowardly Dog. Come on WB. You brought Teen Titans out on BD!

Courage is also on DVD, but just the first season? Something like it.

I used to watch that on TV back then although I never really enjoyed it as it somewhat scared me.

I'm pretty sure all of Courage made it to DVD, but it's pretty horrifically bad quality. Like, Invader ZIM looks good by comparison. Sigh. Someday they'll do right by us fans.

Before Grim Adventures Of Billy & Mandy, I would like to see the original series Grim & Evil. You know the series they made before they mostly separated Billy & Mandy and Evil Con Carne. Though they added Evil Con Carne characters to Billy & Mandy since I guess the Evil Con Carne series was a flop. It was also the series that had that Pilot episode kids voted for to being the next Cartoon Cartoon.

From that link I also found the 1st and 2nd seasons of Ed, Edd n' Eddy for reasonably cheap, just too bad they didn't release the rest.
