Default The Time Machine (2002)

The Time Machine (2002) is one of the last DVDs I am still waiting to upgrade to blu-ray. It looks like in the last month or so it was finally released in HD on Ultraviolet, iTunes, and Amazon in HD.

Is anyone else still interested in seeing this come to blu-ray or heard something about its release?

Always enjoyed this movie. A fun adventure film. I'd buy it on Blu-ray. Would love to see an extended version with the stuff they trimmed out because of 9/11 but that's probably a pipe dream.

I'd rather have a new 4K master of the original film.

Same here. I saw this one in the theater and don’t care too much for it

It's not great, but it has some good things about it, the production design for one thing. I'd buy a good looking Blu-ray.

Nope, I'd count it as one of the worst remakes I've seen.

One of the best remakes I've seen.

Would love a remastered version of the original as well. One of my favorite classic science fiction movies.

This is one of those rare flicks that was released on the obscure and very short-lived D-VHS format but not on blu. Novocaine is another that comes to mind from that format that I'd love to have on blu.

I'd love to have this one too. The DVD was packed with features and had some of the best menu designs out there. The DTS track was a treat too. Day one buyer here!

The movie was good but what made the movie great was the music. The music really flowed with the movie and made a good movie really great. Would like to see an extended version too.

I surprising enjoyed this alot when it first came out. I would grab it on day one without question, even if it I had to import it like several other favs of mine.

I enjoyed this movie far more than I thought I would when I first saw it. Figured it would be very average. Just a movie studio looking to make some quick money. Ended up enjoying it quite a bit. I'd definitely buy a blu if it was ever released.

Agreed. I wonder what happened to Klaus Badelt. It's like he disappeared in 2003 after Pirates Of The Caribbean. Most of his work since are to movies I've really never heard of.

Godspeed and Morlocks Attack are two of my favorite tracks.

Disappointing that the score wasn't nominated for an Oscar. James Horner's score to Avatar, which came out seven years after The Time Machine, sounds similar and was nominated.

I tried doing disc to digital through Vudu, but it registers as the 60's version instead.

I Watched this movie again this weekend (twice actually lol) and been listening to the score a lot (Eloi and I Don’t Belong here and Godspeed) mostly.

What will it take for Dreamworks live action movies to come to blu? The Terminal has been out for awhile but the ones before like this and What Lies Beneath haven’t.

Nothing new, but with The Haunting remake getting a new scan and US BD release from Paramount recently, it might come down the line one day. If not Paramount domestically, maybe Warner has something planned for the international market.
