Thanks for the review. I've had my eye on this one for a few weeks but was put off after reading another review saying that the 3D was pretty shallow. Your 3D comments have piqued my interest in this again but I'd like to see a 3D clip or maybe rent it first before I consider buying it.

Gae remember everyone seems to have different opinions when it comes to 3D. rarely is there a flat out consensus when it comes to 3D since there are so many different setups.. Passive, active, projecter, plasma, dlp's.. etc.. ive seen people make comments about how they enjoyed clash of the titans in 3D and outside of the german 3D conversion i think it's the worst

the debate on ghosting appears that it will never end.. (which im staying out of)

even if u don't like the depth added from 3D, im sure u would at least think the movie is decent.. i thought it was pretty entertaining

I thought the film itself was very lacklustre and the extremely weak 3D added absolutely nothing to it. There was not one popout and only a handful of scenes with any decent sense of depth.

Personally I would avoid this one or give it a rent.

I watched this movie last night with the wife and while the story is just ok the visuals and audio were very good. The movie had very good depth throughout. I am using an oppo 93 and an optoma hd 33 with the rf glasses. I would recommend a purchase especially considering the low price point even factoring in importing.

I know you said Sammy 3D was one of your best 3D movies, so I'll take your word for it here.

Studios need to stop playing it safe when it comes to 3D... Otherwise, what's the point of making it 3D?

IMO, the movie had a fresh theme and the 3D was very decent throughout.
Loved the European connection to the great Paris Flood!

Have you had any respsonse yet? I also have problems on my Samsung HT C-5900, the 3D part wont play, if you fast forward you can see the image clear but if you press the play button it's just all scrambled and green. All my other 3D Blu-rays play fine, first time I had an issue.

I just noticed it links to a pre order, but its been out a while here in the UK, also it does not say 3D, but the only version out here in the UK is 3D, unless thats a pre order to the 2D only version.

A Monster in Paris 3D Blu-ray is Region B, it will not play in Region A, and Region C is untested.
