Rank the 'Alien' Quadrilogy (1979-1997)

My list:

1- Alien Resurrection - brilliant and bleak masterpiece, with solid and overwhelming sci-fi concepts like hybrids and complex relationship between different species. RIPLEY 8 is one of the most genius and groundbreaking characters ever committed on screen. 10/10.

2- Aliens - Cameron at his best. Iconic, classic, action-packed. Beautiful. Weaver was perfect. I would dare to say that this movie was a memorable lesson in film-making and influenced all other sci-fi/action movies which followed it.

3- Alien - the one which started it all. One of the most frightening horror movies in history for sure, because at its core it's an horror movie. Wonderful.

4- Alien 3 - best direction of the whole saga, interesting and fascinating, but the least of the bunch. It's still a great movie, very underrated and overlooked.


Both the prequels are superb, but they don't fit with the original saga that much, they feel too different.
