im pretty sure there was a thread like this before but i searched and searched and couldnt find it. i thought it was fun so i figured id try to get it going again.
pretty self explanatory, just post your favorite movie from each director listed. few simple guidelines: -if youve never seen anything by them just leave it blank, no big deal. -if youve never heard of them look them up, maybe youve seen their work and dont know it. -if you dont like any of their movies, just pick whichever is the best even if you didnt like it. -feel free to add directors to the list, obviously im not gonna think of everyone but im just gonna get the ball rolling. in the end (if people even participate) i might do some tallying and see which got the most votes or whatever but this is mainly just for fun. Woody Allen - Paul Thomas Anderson - Wes Anderson - Dario Argento - Mario Bava - Ingmar Bergman - Luc Besson - Kathryn Bigelow - Danny Boyle - Mel Brooks - Tim Burton - James Cameron - John Carpenter - Charles Chaplin - Coen Brothers - Francis Ford Coppola - Wes Craven - David Cronenberg - Joe Dante - Brian De Palma - Guillermo del Toro - Richard Donner - Clint Eastwood - John Favreau - David Fincher - William Friedkin - Lucio Fulci - Terry Gilliam - Michael Haneke - Alfred Hitchcock - John Hughes - Peter Jackson - Stanley Kubrick - Akira Kurosawa - John Landis - Fritz Lang - David Lean - Sergio Leone - David Lynch - Terrence Malick - Michael Mann - John McTiernan - Jean-Pierre Melville - Takashi Miike - Christopher Nolan - Sam Peckinpah - Roman Polanski - Sam Raimi - Guy Ritchie - Robert Rodriguez - George Romero - Martin Scorsese - Ridley Scott - Tony Scott - Steven Spielberg - Quentin Tarantino - Paul Verhoeven - Orson Welles - Billy Wilder - John Woo - |
