As of now the only HD physical format that this film is available on is HD-DVD.

It's kind of weird that it hasn't yet been released on Blu-ray, and for such, I own this on HD-DVD so if it never gets a BD version, I'm covered with HD-DVD.

I did too but I don't hate the movie like some people that went by the name Cooter in the series did.

I thought they had a program for turning in the HDDVD for BD's years ago but I guess Duke's wasn't on it unless that was a different company as well.

To be fair, I really enjoyed the film a lot, maybe because I've never seen the original series, which could've made me hate the film I suppose.

It's fine if it'll never be on BD, but people who don't own an HD-DVD Player are stuck to DVD if they want it.

Ah man I didn't realize the uncut version had a hddvd release. I so want that, being a big fan of the director, and the movie.

I actually have the HD-DVD release but don't have the player hooked up anymore. Having to make do with the DVD.

Ah, I just got sick waiting so got the HD-DVD and a cheap HDDVD drive. Just waiting for them to arrive.

Well, I got it and now I have the uncut version in HD. And all the extras. Anyone looking for a cheap HDDVD drive I got one from aliexpress cheap - new old stock. Notebook sata too, 12.7mm, not IDE.

Well Starsky and Hutch finally came out on Blu-ray this year as apart of the "Warner Archive Collection" so there may be hope for Dukes of Hazzard next! Fingers crossed...

This one is guilty pleasure. Gave my HD-DVD a spin about a year ago and still works fine. A lot of those Warner discs are susceptible to rot. If WAC released this I would probably upgrade, however.

Yup! This is also great hilarious movie and Ben Stiller cracks me up

So anyway The Dukes of Hazzard coming out 15 years and so hoping next year for the 15th Anniversary and Warner Archive Collection will release Blu-ray next year.

If it gets released on Blu-ray will they edit out the confederate flag Ha Ha. The flag is the reason they don’t show the tv series on tv any more.

I just finished rewatching The Dukes of Hazzard for literally the 95th time. I check for a Blu-ray release every couple of months, and I am not giving up hope. It would honestly be the best news to get a 15th anniversary Blu-ray this year. Come on Warner, how has it taken you this long??

I have a HD-DVD player in my bedroom that I'm using for a upscaled 1080p DVD player. It still plays well, but the startup is slow. It was always slow since I bought brand new years ago. I've sold all of my HD-DVD movies that I had, except for one which is Zodiac.
