Prophecy is far superior to Grizzly. It's a well-made studio film. The story is much more interesting than "large beast runs amok." It has layers to it: The environmental issues, the greedy corporation vs. the indigenous people, the pregnancy. Even in terms of monster mayhem, Grizzly doesn't have anything on the level of awesomeness as the sleeping bag scene (which someone posted above). And the scenes in Prophecy with the malformed cubs crying in pain are genuinely disturbing on a level that nothing in Grizzly can even begin to approach.

Grizzly is a fun, C-level potboiler. Comparing Prophecy to Grizzly is like comparing Jaws to Shark Attack 3: Megalodon.
