Cool Image Entertainment's Midnight Madness Series

In this thread, I hope to catalogue releases in the Midnight Madness Series from Image Entertainment (now RLJ Entertainment). This series was fairly short lived, but they went to the trouble of placing the label on a handful of DVDs and Blu-rays and then never really went about providing a list of movies that were part of this series.

Without a definitive list from Image or RLJ (at least that I can find), it's very possible that this list is incomplete. Please feel free to provide any releases that I may have missed.

So, did Image discontinue the Midnight Madness series?

I think a lot of it ceased to exist when RLJ Entertainment acquired Image Entertainment in 2012. RLJE really has ceased to exist since AMC Networks acquired them as AMC is focused on streaming.

Most of these went to Arrow, where they produced better editions and even put out several in 4K.

Most have been reissued by Arrow, a few by Vinegar Syndrome, and one by Kino. The only one MIA on US Blu-ray is Return to Horror High.

OP is missing Sister Sister.

Yeah, these have all ceased and in some cases are starting to rise in price. Particularly the Hills Have Eyes. I just wanted to toss this together since there isn't an easily accessed resource that lists all of them in one place. Far as I'm aware the remaining stock at retailers is just old new stock.

Oops! I'll fix that momentarily. Added it.

I actually have such a resource that had been sitting on my hard drive for years. Knew it would come in handy someday. Really don't remember what my fascination with these was, though it certainly led to me buying a few films I otherwise wouldn't have noticed.

I have Reanimator on my list, though it doesn't appear to have ever been released under the MMS banner. It has been paired with a few in bundles though.

Yeah, it was a lot of "I remember seeing that at Blockbuster but never renting it", for me. Do you remember where you got this resource from, or did you do research yourself?

Yeah I do see they were distributing it at the time. I wonder if it was planned at one point but then was later scrapped. Based on the release dates, they didn't put Re-animator on Blu-ray until 2012, a year after all the rest of the MMS releases. I have no idea why they decided to bundle it with The Hills Have Eyes in 2013, seems like an odd pairing.

It was self-researched.

Image also put out a few DVD packs that mixed MMS titles with others. Some were pretty odd inclusions.
