Default Madame Rosa (La vie devant soi) (1977)



Kino Lorber will release on Blu-ray Moshé Mizrahi's film Madame Rosa (1977), starring Simone Signoret, Michal Bat-Adam, Gabriel Jabbour, and Geneviève Fontanel. The release will be available for purchase on May 18.

I'm definitely curious. This is an adaptation of the same novel that was filmed again with Sophia Loren and released last year on Netflix as The Life Ahead. That film was one of my favorites of last year.

Just finished watching Madame Rosa.

I haven't seen it since its first release. The transfer is gorgeous - very film like and to be frank much better than the battered print I watched on the big screen which in fairness had already been running about 6 months before I got to see it so the print had been worn somewhat.
